How it all began
In 2016 Jean-Charles Samuelian and Charles Gorintin set out to revolutionise the healthcare industry. They identified a huge problem to solve: Healthcare is expensive, unadapted to individual needs, reactive rather than predictive or preventive, complex and hard to navigate, while burning-out doctors. So, they created Alan, which started out as the first fully digital health insurance and has now evolved into so much more!
As of today, Alan operates in 3 countries (🇫🇷, 🇧🇪, 🇪🇸) and covers more than 400,000 members, representing over €250m+ of annualized revenue. In 2022 we raised a further €183m in a series E funding round bringing the company’s total valuation to €2.7bn. The team is 500+ people and growing.
