At Alan we help members take care of their physical health and mental well-being on a daily basis by putting an emphasis on prevention.  We support members via our virtual clinic, with a simple and responsive health insurance and innovative and proactive services, all accessible directly from their pocket.

How it all began

In 2016 Jean-Charles Samuelian and Charles Gorintin set out to revolutionise the healthcare industry. They identified a huge problem to solve:  Healthcare is expensive, unadapted to individual needs, reactive rather than predictive or preventive, complex and hard to navigate, while burning-out doctors. So, they created Alan, which started out as the first fully digital health insurance and has now evolved into so much more!

As of today, Alan operates in 3 countries (🇫🇷, 🇧🇪, 🇪🇸) and covers more than 400,000 members, representing over €250m+ of annualized revenue. In 2022 we raised a further €183m in a series E funding round bringing the company’s total valuation to €2.7bn. The team is 500+ people and growing. 

We have been recognised as LinkedIn’s Top Start up in France 2021 and is recurrently named as  one of La French Tech’s Next40 startups.
