Shining a light on what Alan offers to Alaners in terms of compensation package and employee value offer.
At Alan we offer an attractive Equity package on top of an above market-average base salary. The grids below are the latest as of today. Please note that only our potential final hiring offer will be binding.
At Alan, we don’t believe in “titles” to define levels. We have levels that make it clear your impact and what we expect from you.
Your level will be defined during the hiring process through diverse technical exercises and shared in the event of a hiring offer (read more about this here). The level defines:
the equity: number of options at hiring
the reference base salary which is increased for each year of past professional experience.
Your salary depends both on how many years of professional experience you have and the level at which we make an offer.
We want Alaners to act like shareholders within a culture of collective achievement: you receive a package of options at hiring and you have the opportunity to receive new equity every year, which makes the package even more competitive over time.

All Alaners have access to other Alaners’ compensation packages, fostering fairness among all.

Benefits at Alan are an investment to support and empower Alaners to increase their impact at Alan.
We offer benefits that boost productivity so Alaners can focus on building the best healthcare - and the most innovative - company in the world.
The beneficiaries are Alaners. Some perks might be extended to family members when relevant (Alan products for example).
When a perk applies to all Alaners nothing is specified. If it only applies in certain countries the flag of the country appears next to the perk.

Alaners can work from anywhere within their employment country. Alaners often visit their teammates in others cities. Strangely, the ones who live by the sea get a lot more visits than the others. 😉
You have the possibility to work for a few weeks from abroad (ie outside your home country, which is the country where you have your Alan contract) while making sure the risks are limited for you and the company:
Up to 30 days a year, worldwide
Maximum 90 days per year inside the Schengen area
We have some geographical and time restriction in order to respect the limitations provided by the fiscal, labour, immigration and European law.

Alaners are free to work from any of our offices and enjoy great company.
Our Parisian office is in the 10th arrondissement, it has a lovely rooftop with a view of the Canal Saint-Martin.
We have coworking spaces in the following cities:
🇧🇪 Brussels - the office is super central.
🇧🇪 Ghent - we might or might not be located in a football stadium.
🇪🇸 Madrid - an office with an amazing terrace so that you can enjoy the European capital with the highest number of sunny hours per year!
🇪🇸 Barcelona - in Bogatell, just a leisurely stroll away from the beach.
Annecy, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Montpellier, Nantes, Strasbourg, Toulouse and Rouen - More are likely to come as we open new coworking spaces once we have a big enough group of Alaners based in the same city.
We trust Alaners to take the holidays they need, and no pre-approval is required.
We offer 20 weeks fully paid for maternity leave in most of the countries 🇫🇷 🇧🇪 🇪🇸 🇪🇺 (except if we legally need to offer more).
We offer 6 weeks fully paid for paternity leave in all countries except for Spain where the legal requirement is 16 weeks.
We enjoy each other’s company and have different ways to do so, whether in big or small groups. Here are a few examples:

It’s very important for us to help Alaners grow and develop themselves professionally. To that end:
Every Alaner has a coach, whom they meet every two weeks to discuss career growth and personal development. Coaches are Alaners who have been trained to coach others; they build a lasting and trusting relationship with their coachees (To read more about it: 🇫🇷 Coaching : 1:1s et péripatéticiens and 🇫🇷 Travailler chez Alan sans management).
We have a flexible training policy and can sponsor trainings for Alaners.
Other initiatives include a budget to attend and speak at conferences, and books in free access.
Eating properly is also healthcare, which is why we strive to provide healthy meals to Alaners and to remove the burden of thinking about lunch when they are at the office.
Need your children cared for while your work? Alan provides financial support to help Alaners afford daycare for their children.
