How it all began

In 2016 Jean-Charles Samuelian and Charles Gorintin set out to revolutionize the healthcare industry. They identified a huge problem to solve: Healthcare is expensive, unadapted to individual needs, reactive rather than predictive or preventive, complex and hard to navigate, while burning-out doctors. So, they created Alan, which started out as the first fully digital health insurance and has now evolved into so much more!

As of today, Alan operates in 4 countries (🇫🇷, 🇧🇪, 🇪🇸, 🇨🇦) and covers more than 700,000 members, representing over €500m+ of annualized revenue. In 2024 we raised a further €140M in a series F funding round bringing the company’s total valuation to €4bn. The team is 600+ people and growing. 

We are recurrently named as one of La French Tech’s Next40 startups.
