How much do group benefits cost for a small business?
Alan has two plans in every province. Outside Quebec, choose Bear (from $128.50 per month) or Marmot (from $179.50 per month). In Quebec, choose Bison or Caribou. Your exact price depends on your team size and the plan you pick, and you can see it online in a few minutes.
How many employees do I need for a group plan?
Alan plans start at 3 people, including you.
Are health and dental benefits taxable for employees?
Outside Quebec, employer-paid health and dental premiums are generally not a taxable benefit. In Quebec, the employer's share is a taxable benefit for provincial income tax. Check with your accountant for your situation.
Is Alan a licensed insurer in Canada?
Yes. Alan is federally licensed by OSFI and licensed to operate in every province. Alan is the first new health insurer licensed in Canada since 1957.
Do you work with brokers?
No. Alan sells directly to employers, so you deal with us from quote to claims.
