Belgium Referral Program Terms of Service
Because we are convinced that our members and administrators are best positioned to talk about us and our product, we have set up a referral program ("Referral Program").

How do we keep these Terms of Service (TOS) up to date?
We strive to offer the best possible referral experience to our members and administrators, which is why the referral offer will evolve over time. We may need to modify these TOS from time to time as our referral program changes. For any questions, please regularly check our TOS or contact us if needed.
Alan is a digital health insurance and healthcare services provider operating through its entities identified on the Alan websites. Alan is supervised by the French Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution ("ACPR"), located at 4 place de Budapest, 75009, Paris.
What is a referrer? Any eligible policyholder or administrator who shares their unique referral link with a third party.
What is a referee? Any adult eligible for the referral offer who holds a unique referral link transmitted by the referrer.
Terms of Service (TOS). Otherwise, the referral will not be validated. Referrals apply only to new health insurance contracts.
The referral is validated once the referee signs their Alan health insurance contract and completes one full month with us.
However:
The referee must meet Alan's eligibility criteria to subscribe to health insurance. Currently, Alan does not offer health coverage for all individuals. We are working to expand our insurance offerings to cover more profiles.

The referral program is open to residents of Belgian territory who meet the eligibility criteria.
The Beneficiary acknowledges that rewards may be taxable in Belgium and is solely responsible for their own tax filings.
Alan employees cannot participate in the Referral offer as referrers.
Alan reserves the right to end the referral program at any time and will honor all referrals made up to the program closure date.
The referrer will receive a reward worth approximately €50. The referee will receive one free month of Alan subscription for themselves and their family, if applicable (spouse and children). This is a full month offered, so if you start your contract mid-month, the offer will apply the following month. For illustration:

Si Alan propose plusieurs récompenses au jour de la validation du parrainage, un mail sera envoyé au parrain et au filleul afin qu’ils puissent choisir leur récompense.

Alan runs referral programs at its sole discretion. Alan reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or temporarily/permanently modify the referral program governed by these TOS at any time for any reason.
Referral validation and reward attribution to referrer and referee are not automatic. Alan performs verification operations before acceptance, particularly to combat fraudulent or abusive behavior. Alan reserves the right in particular not to pay the reward to the referrer or referee(s), and to take any other appropriate measure.
For illustration, interrupting your Alan health subscription and resubscribing solely to use the referral and receive the reward constitutes abusive use that may justify closing your account and/or your referees', canceling the referral, and repaying the reward.
These TOS are governed by Belgian law, and all related disputes will be brought before the competent Belgian jurisdiction.

The referrer's personal data (Alan customer) used for referral operations includes identification data and data on products held with Alan—these are mandatory. This personal data is processed by Alan as controller. If subcontractors handle reward management and shipping, referrer and referee data shared with third parties is solely for delivery purposes. This involves identification data or containing a delivery address. This data will be processed in accordance with the Client Data Protection Policy.
Regarding the referee, Alan does not collect any referee data. Referee personal data will only be collected and stored in Alan's information system databases if they themselves initiate and complete this information when creating an Alan account. They will then be a prospect subject to prospect personal data processing as specified in the prospect data protection policy.
We process this data solely to manage referral operations, in accordance with these TOS. In accordance with data protection law, the legal basis retained for processing is, firstly, contract performance for referral management including site tracking, and legitimate interest for eligibility processing for referral services.
By accepting the referral and its rules, Alan executes the clauses of these TOS to enable the referrer and referee to obtain the planned rewards.
